Pumpkins Survive Big Rains

Even with twelve inches of rain last week, the pumpkins are growing well. The area where they are growing was a bit flooded. You can see that the soil and straw washed up on to the netting, Grandma thinks that the Walczak pumpkin is the biggest one so far.

Everything is Coming Up Roses!


Grandma has many roses in the garden in all different colors and forms. Some really smell and some not at all,



Brazilian Flower


Grandma loves Verbena bonariensis also known as Brazilian verbena. This purple flower is native to parts of South America, namely Brazil. It has all three foot stems and has purple flower on top, They sway in the wind when it blows,


A Surprise in the Garden


Poppy sniffed out a Mallard mama duck in Grandma's front garden. The mama duck was sitting on her eggs in a nest tucked in the flowers. How many eggs can you find?
