Pumpkins Keep Growing

The pumpkins keep growing. Now the Cinderella Carriage pumpkin is as big as the Walczak pumpkin. Once the pumpkins flower, the covers will be removed so the bees can pollinate them. Once pollinated, the pumpkins will begin to grow.



Other Garden Happenings...


Duck Nest


The mama duck has laid more eggs in the nest by the front of the house. How many are there now? The mama duck has been sitting on the eggs all day every day. Grandma and Grandpa are careful to not walk Nemal and Poppy by the nest. Nermal and Poppy have scared the duck away a couple of times already.



Garden Visitors


The evening of June 25, the Sioux Falls Garden Club took a tour of Grandma's garden. After the tour, they held a meeting in the driveway.



Butterfly Garden


Grandma and Grandpa were in Key West Florida last weekend. While we were there, we walked through a Butterfly Garden. This tropical garden was full of moths, butterflies and even flamingoes. One butterfly landed on Grandpa's head.
