The pumpkins have taken off with all the heat from the past weekend. Some are getting so big it is getting difficult to get all on the plant in the picture.

One pumpkin plant has not one but two pumpkings growing. Which one do you think? Cinderella Carriage!

Other Garden Happenings...

Pepper Palooza

Grandma has 30 pepper plants at her community garden plots. With the hot weather, the pepper plants are getting big and have several peppers. Most of the peppers are sweet peppers but there are some that are hot - mostly mild.

Garden Harvest

Grandma's garden is now starting to produce vegetables. Grandma picked brocooli, a bunch of green beans and a couple of cherry tomatoes. Grandma ate the yellow cherry tomato, some steamed green beans and broccoli cheddar soup for dinner. Grandpa ate the red cherry tomato.

Garden Animals

Grandpa and Grandma have trapped three rabbits in the garden this week. There are four traps througout the garden, but all three rabbits were caught in the same trap. We have now trapped 13 rabbits this year.

The mother duck is still sitting on her eggs. This is the third week since she first laid the eggs. The duck eggs take about 30 days to hatch. Grandpa and Grandma are thinking these eggs will hatch in a week or so.
